Terms of Service

Template notice. This document is an operator-authored template. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and must be reviewed and adapted by qualified legal counsel in the relevant jurisdiction before Kairostamp accepts real-money payments.

1. The service

Kairostamp is currently operated as an independent software service.

Kairostamp ("the Service") is a machine-to-machine API. On request it fetches one public http/https URL from its own servers and returns a snapshot receipt containing the HTTP status, content metadata, a SHA-256 digest of the response body bytes, the redirect chain, a truncated text preview, a server timestamp, and hash-chain values linking the receipt to an append-only internal log.

The Service is currently operated on the Base Sepolia test network for evaluation purposes. Test-network tokens have no monetary value.

2. No account, per-request payment

There is no user account. Each paid call is authorized by an x402 payment presented with the request. By sending a signed payment authorization you agree to these terms as they exist at the time of the request.

3. Non-custodial payment

Payment settles on a public blockchain directly from your wallet to the operator's receiving address. Kairostamp does not hold, escrow, custody or transmit buyer funds, does not control your wallet, and cannot reverse a settled on-chain transaction. You are solely responsible for your keys, your network selection, and your gas and token balances.

4. Fulfilment

The Service attempts the snapshot before settling payment. If the snapshot does not succeed, the payment authorization is not settled and you are not charged. Each settled payment is processed once; repeating a request with the same settlement transaction hash returns the recorded outcome rather than performing a second fetch or a second charge.

If a payment settles but fulfilment does not complete, see the refunds and reconciliation page.

5. Acceptable use

Your use must comply with the acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms. The operator may refuse, throttle or block requests that appear to breach it or that threaten the stability or safety of the Service.

6. Nature of the evidence

A receipt is a good-faith technical record of what the Service's server observed at a point in time. It is not notarisation, certification, an attestation of truth, legal advice, or evidence admissible in any particular proceeding. The operator makes no representation about the accuracy, completeness, authenticity or legal effect of any content retrieved from a third-party website, and content served to the Service may differ from content served to you.

7. Availability

The Service is provided without any uptime, throughput, latency, retention, discovery, indexing or compliance guarantee. Rate limits, prices, limits and features may change, and the Service may be suspended or discontinued at any time.

8. Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Where liability cannot be excluded, the operator's aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to the operator for the requests giving rise to the claim in the preceding thirty days. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Indemnity

You are responsible for the targets you submit and agree to indemnify the operator against third-party claims arising from your use of the Service in breach of these terms or of applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Changes and governing law
